"I think I personally make the biggest difference in situations where I can help patients deal with fears, expectations and misinformation. It's very satisfying to able to use my judgment and experience to decide when tests and consultants aren't needed — so families can weather their mild illnesses with less anxiety, medications and interruptions in their daily lives."
