Academic Title: Assistant Professor
Dr Ellison is a Fellow and Active Instructor in Pediatric Urology at Seattle Children's Hospital. His clinical and research interests focus on care for the child with pediatric nephrolithiasis, though he manages a wide range of common pediatric urologic conditions.
Dr Ellison completed his residency training at the University of Michigan in Urology, where he developed a special interested in endourology and pediatrics. He completed a year-long subspeciality fellowship in endourology at the Bristol Urological Institute in the United Kingdom, prior to starting his fellowship in pediatric urology at Seattle Children's Hospital. His current work involves leading a multidisciplinary team to streamline the evaluation of children presenting with acute renal colic.
My husband and I brought our 3 year old in for surgery with Dr. Ellison yesterday. He took the time to speak with us during initial consultation and prior to surgery. He respectfully and articulatly answered all our questions. The surgery went well and is healing nicely. I was pleasantly surprised at how the wounds look, not even a full 24 hours later. We appreciated the post surgical visit and his meticulous attention to our son. The entire staff was amazing. Surgery is never something to hope for, but it is certainly a relief to know such quality staff are available should the need arise.
