"The ability to “look inside” the human body with the wonderful technological advancement of imaging is what drew me to radiology. One of my most satisfying memories was the day a young teenaged girl with liver cancer finally received her liver transplant. She had been treated by the pediatric interventional radiology service with multiple sessions of chemotherapy infused directly into the blood vessels feeding her liver cancer — to help prevent its progression until the time an organ was available. She is now living a full life without limitations. The privilege of treating children in need of life-changing therapies motivates me to come to work each day."
