"At a very young age I was drawn to a Newsweek article regarding premature infants and the medical advances needed to help them develop and survive. I believe I was 12. I knew at that moment this would be my life's goal. The strength these babies hold at such a young age is amazing to me. I learn from them and their families every day what it means to value life's small treasures. Someday we will have the medical advances to prevent premature birth, until that time I will continue with all my colleagues to provide the best possible care to these amazing infants and provide compassionate support for the families who allow us to be a part of their lives."
