Angela Forbes is a pediatric nurse practitioner with the Division of Neurosurgery. Angela received her undergraduate degree from Seattle Pacific University. She worked as a nurse at Seattle Children's Hospital with the Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.
She then went on to receive her master's degree from New York University, where she was honored as the Distinguished Graduate. She also was awarded the Division of Nursing Alumni Association, Master's Achievement Award. After graduation, she worked at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, specializing in caring for critically ill children with cancer and other immunological diseases. She returned to Seattle Children's Hospital in 2011 after being offered a position with the Division of Neurosurgery.
Angela has a special interest in pediatric brain tumors as well as palliative care. She has been invited to speak about palliative care at the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses national conference.
Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, Angela lives in Seattle with her daughter, Chloe. Her interests include traveling, watching bad British television and reading.
