Dr. Dimitri Christakis, director of the Center for Child Health, Behavior and Development at Seattle Children's Research Institute, says even mild asthma symptoms, two or three times a week, should prompt a trip to the doctor. Still, many parents opt to keep their child off a daily medicine.
