Dr. Craig Rubens has authored or co-authored more than 90 manuscripts, 15 book chapters and over 80 abstracts on infectious disease topics. His current research initiatives focus on developing an international research program to prevent prematurity and stillbirth at Seattle Children's Hospital Research Institute, understanding how young children develop pneumonia, and research on a vaccine to combat Group B Streptococcal infections in neonatal and infant children. Dr. Rubens has served as an active member of numerous professional organizations, journal editorial boards and expert panels at medical conferences worldwide. He has also won several professional awards, including the National Institute of Health's New Investigator Award and the Hartford Foundation Fellowship Award.
