Cuando estás enfermo, sueles tener síntomas (cambios en el cuerpo, como la fiebre, que te indican que algo no está bien). Al contarle al médico cuáles son los síntomas, lo estás ayudando a determinar cuál es el problema. Piensa en los síntomas como pistas que necesitas para resolver un misterio. Cuantas más pistas tengas, más fácil será determinar lo que te sucede. Por ejemplo, si tienes dolor de oídos y fiebre, es posible que tengas una infección de oídos. Y si estás vomitando y te duele el estómago, es posible que tengas un virus estomacal. Por lo tanto, la próxima vez que te sientas mal, diles a tus padres y a tu médico qué síntomas tienes, para poder sentirte mejor.
