Tus padres tienen buenas razones para decirte que te cubras la boca al estornudar o toser. Cuando una enfermedad es contagiosa, significa que una persona puede enfermarse por estar en contacto con otra. Si te cubres la boca al toser o estornudar, puedes evitar que las bacterias y los virus entren en contacto con el aire. También es importante que te laves las manos, sin importar si estás enfermo o no, para evitar propagar gérmenes sobre objetos que otras personas tocarán. Algunas de las enfermedades contagiosas que los niños padecen son los resfriados, la gripe y la varicela.
