Nefropatía

( Nephropathy )

Las personas que sufren de diabetes durante muchos años pueden tener problemas en los vasos sanguíneos pequeños y en cualquier órgano del cuerpo. Es más probable que esto suceda si la diabetes no está bien controlada. Uno de los órganos que suele verse afectado es el riñón. El término médico que describe a la enfermedad renal es "nefropatía". El tipo de enfermedad renal causado por la diabetes se llama nefropatía diabética .
