Allergy-triggered asthma is a type of asthma commonly seen in
children. Symptoms of asthma in these children are brought on by
allergic reactions to things such as dust mites, pollen, or animal
dander. Although not all asthma is triggered by allergies, and not
all allergies cause symptoms of asthma, an estimated 75% to 85% of
children with asthma have some type of allergy.
