(In English: Eardrum)

El tímpano es una parte muy importante del oído. El sonido viaja a través del canal auditivo hasta llegar al tímpano. El tímpano es una membrana delgada de piel estirada, como si fuera un tambor, que vibra cuando es golpeada por el sonido. Estas vibraciones mueven los pequeños huesos ubicados en el oído medio y éstos envían vibraciones al oído interno. Desde el oído interno, se envía el mensaje al cerebro, que reacciona y dice: “Oh, oigo algo”. Ésas sí que son buenas vibraciones.
