Diapers
In an emergency, you may get diapers at the clinics or on the inpatient units. The greeter desks at each entrance also have a diaper supply.

If you need to send or receive faxes concerning patient-related or other information, please go to the Family Resource Center for help.

Lab and Blood Draws
Please sign in at 6th floor Registration area near the Whale 6 entrance before going to the Lab. On request, the Lab will fax results to the physician who ordered your child's test.
The Lab cannot give out test results to parents without written permission from the physician who ordered the test.

Laptop Access
Laptop computers may be used in the hospital. For Internet access in public areas, four dial-up outlet connections are available. One is next to the pay phones on the 4th floor, across from the Balloon elevators.
The other three outlet connections are located in the Family Resource Center (Train 5-1 and 5-2 (Family Room). Families and patients can use personal laptops to connect to a free high-speed internet connection in the Family Resource Center. There is both wired (using a network cable) and wireless ("wi-fi") access available.
Parent Showers and Lockers
Feel free to use the parent showers and lockers at any time of the day or night.
Locations:
- First floor: between the unit coordinator's desk and the Train elevators
- Fifth floor: inside the sleeping room area, Family Resource Center, T5-2
Parents with children in the Giraffe zone may use the shower in the child's room if the child is the sole occupant of the room.
Phone Calling Cards
A phone card vending machine is located in the vending machine area on the 5th floor near the cafeteria.
Washing Machines and Dryers
Clothes washers and dryers are available for parent use in the Family Resource Center on the 5th floor around the corner from the Train elevators. Machines and soap are free of charge.
Strollers, Wagons and Carts
We provide wheelchairs, carts, wagons and strollers for patients and families to use while in the hospital. The equipment is usually available near the greeter desk at each entrance.
