Children's is committed to ensuring accessibility to all children, teens and their families who have physical, mental and sensory disabilities.
We are also committed to providing interpreters for all non-English speaking or English as a Second Language patients and families.
Please let our staff know what resources you need before your child's clinic visit, hospital stay or surgery.

Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Services
A resource specialist for the deaf and hard-of-hearing is available for questions or concerns. To reach the resource specialist, call (206) 987-2000 (Voice) or (206) 987-2280 (TTY) and ask for her to be paged.
Give the operator your name and phone number and the resource specialist will return your call.
Disabled Parking
Disabled parking is available on levels 4, 5 and 6 of the Whale garage and on Helen Lane near the Giraffe entrance. There are also disabled parking spaces for Emergency Room families in Lot 4.
We accept all state handicapped parking permits. If you need to apply for a state disabled parking permit, our Parking and Commuter Services Office can give you a form. The form requires a doctor's approval.

Wheelchairs
We provide wheelchairs, carts, wagons and strollers for patients and families to use while in the hospital. The equipment is usually available near the greeter desk at each entrance.
If you or your child needs a wheelchair upon arrival, please call (206) 987-2260 to make arrangements ahead of time.
Family Restroom
There are two family restrooms equipped to meet the needs of families with children too large (over 30 pounds) to diaper or change using the baby changing stations located in the public restrooms. Each room is outfitted with a toilet, sink and large platform that electrically adjusts up and down .
