Children's Hospital Opens Tri-Cities Clinic

Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center opened its newest specialty clinic, Children’s Tri-Cities Clinic, located at 969 Stevens Way, Suite 1B in Richland. The clinic is staffed by Children’s physicians and nurses, who work in collaboration with community providers to increase the availability of pediatric specialty care services in Benton and Franklin counties.
Patients from birth to young adulthood will be seen at the clinic for consultation and follow-up services including: cardiology, gastroenterology, genetics, nephrology, orthopedics, prenatal cardiology, pulmonary and rheumatology. The clinic also offers fetal cardiac consultation in partnership with Tri-Cities Maternal Fetal Medicine.
“For families in the Tri-Cities community who have children with special healthcare needs, frequent travel to Children’s Hospital in Seattle can be overwhelming,” said Sanford M. Melzer, MD, senior vice president of strategic planning and business development at Children’s. “Our Tri-Cities clinic allows us to provide children and their families with access to the best specialty health care while allowing them to stay in their home communities.”
The Tri-Cities clinic joins the family of Children’s regional clinics in Bellevue, Everett, Federal Way and Olympia. The regional clinics bring care closer to where patients live and also support Children’s efforts to grow responsibly by decentralizing outpatient services and focus inpatient care on the main hospital campus.
