Children's Hospital Names Richard Hopper, M.D. Surgical Director of the Craniofacial Center

Dr. Richard Hopper has been appointed surgical director of the Craniofacial Center at Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle. In this newly created position, Dr. Hopper will work with Dr. Michael Cunningham, Medical Director of the Craniofacial Center, to develop the Center to provide the best interdisciplinary team care and innovative clinical treatments. The Craniofacial Center specializes in the treatment of cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis and other complex craniofacial conditions.

Dr. Cunningham and Hopper have solidly established our reputation as this nation’s leading national Craniofacial Center,” said Dr. Richard Molteni, medical director at Children’s Hospital. “Dr. Hopper’s dedication and skills are combined with a passionate desire for new knowledge, assuring the continued achievements of this team.”
Dr. Hopper received his medical degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland in Canada. He completed his residency in plastic surgery at the University of Toronto and his craniofacial fellowship at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Hopper joined the Craniofacial Center at Children’s in 2001 as a member of the surgical team.
