Seattle, Wash.: Children’s Hospital recently announced the appointment of Robert Boucek, M.D., as division chief of cardiology and co-director of Children’s Heart Center. Boucek comes to Children’s from the University of South Florida College of Medicine where he served as professor and chief of the division of Cardiology and as program director of the Pediatric Cardiac Transplant Program.
“Bob has an innovative vision for developing a nationally recognized Heart Center and Cardiology Division. We look forward to his leadership,” said Bruder Stapleton, M.D., pediatrician-in-chief at Children’s, and chairman of the department of pediatrics, UW School of Medicine.
Dr. Boucek is a nationally recognized cardiac transplant cardiologist and has a research interest in myocardial regeneration. Formerly he was on the faculty at Vanderbilt University and head of their pediatric cardiology fellowship program.
