Cantwell to announce $3 million Grant to Train 280 New Health Care Workers

SEATTLE, WA – On Thursday, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA), representatives from Children’s Hospital, and local workforce development councils will hold a press conference to announce a $3 million grant to train over 280 new health care workers in Washington state.
Hospitals in Washington state have thousands vacancies for health care workers. This grant will fund a new program to bring dislocated and underemployed workers into the health care profession.
