Miracle Makers Raises $175,000

The 2006 Miracle Makers television special aired on KOMO 4 on June 3. Through the committed work of KOMO 4 and volunteers, more than $178,000 in pledges and matching gift sponsorship were raised - a 35 percent increase over 2005.
The show highlighted the stories of hospital patients, families, staff and volunteers.
Miracle Makers featured patients seen in areas such as Rehabilitation Medicine, Heart Center, Neurosurgery, Hematology/Oncology and Orthopedics.
The program also showcased the importance of nurses and other valuable staff in making Children’s a special place for Pacific Northwest children.
Inspired by their stories, donors called in more than 810 pledges during the 4-hour broadcast.
KOMO 4 newscasters Kathi Goertzen, Steve Pool, Mike Dardis and Todd Johnson hosted this annual special, co-sponsored by KOMO 4 and Costco Wholesale.
