Ranked among the top medical schools in the nation, the University of Washington School of Medicine had an entering class size of 273 in 2017. All students do a six-week pediatric clerkship during their third year of training. This rotation occurs either in Seattle or at one of 19 sites in the Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho (WWAMI) region. For those students training in Seattle, three weeks are spent at Seattle Children's Hospital and at an affiliated community outpatient clinic.
