ADHD is a prevalent neurodevelopmental disorder associated with persistent impairments in family, educational, and social functioning and increased health risk behavior. Although widely recognized, diagnostic and treatment practices vary widely, despite an abundance of treatments and considerable research. There are considerable gaps in training of both PCP’s and subspecialists who see children and adolescents, and numerous service delivery problems that contribute to fractionated care and under treatment.
