Steps to Install Citrix
It is mandatory that the Citrix client is installed in order to access Web Based Training outside of Seattle Children's. A secondary benefit of installing the Citrix client is that you will be able to run the CIS remotely upon completion of the WBT.
1. Download and install the latest Citrix client software
- Using Internet Explorer, save the CitrixOnlinePluginWeb.exe file to your desktop, by right-clicking and Save Target As....
- Save the file to your desktop.
- Once the download is complete, close all windows and double-click the file on your desktop.
- Follow the on-screen prompts.
- Restart your browser or computer when prompted.
2. Check your Internet Explorer settings to be sure you can connect to Children's website
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click Help » About Internet Explorer and verify the cipher strength is 128 bit.
- Click OK.
- Click Tools » Internet Options.
- Under Temporary Internet files, click Delete Files and check Delete all offline content.
- Click OK.
- Under History, click Clear History.
- Click Yes.
- Click the Advanced tab and scroll down to the Security section. Make sure Do not save encrypted pages to disk is unchecked.
- Click OK.
- Close Internet Explorer.
Once you have completed this installation, you can access the Web Based Training.
