DNA banking is a service that allows patients' genomic DNA to be stored for future diagnostic studies. DNA is stored for a minimum of ten years. The DNA Bank will store the DNA, not analyze it; hence test results will not be available until DNA analysis is pursued. A DNA Bank report is generated at the time of DNA banking, which lists the concentration and volume of DNA extracted and stored from the patient sample.
