The single file (a .msi file) that you download contains the files necessary for operating the atlas. The program should run on any computer with Windows 2000 or Windows XP with the latest version of .NET framework installed. The program does not work on the Macintosh platform.

By default the necessary files and folders will be located in the following directory: C:\program files\CHRMC\RetroperitonealSpaces Atlas.

The folder entitled "Atlas" contains all the files necessary to run the atlas. A help file/tutorial is located in the "Atlas_Help" folder.

The program can be run from the Start Menu, in the Programs folder, under RetroperitonealSpaces Atlas. Alternatively, the program can be run by opening up the atlas folder and clicking on the file "RetroperitonealSpacesAtlas.exe". A shortcut to this file can be placed on the desktop. The program should start. If the program does not start, you probably need the latest version of .NET framework installed. This can be downloaded from the Microsoft Web site. Simply search for ".net framework" on the Internet. Then run that .exe file to install the .NET framework on to your hard drive. [As of January 28, 2009, the latest version of .NET Framework is 3.5, published 11/20/2007 under the name dotnetfx35setup.exe]

The help file/tutorial can be run from the Start Menu, in the Programs folder, under RetroperitonealSpaces Atlas. Alternatively, the program can be run by opening up the Atlas_Help folder and clicking on the file "RetroperitonealSpaces_Help.doc".
