The Pediatric Pathology Fellowship program provides a comprehensive and integrated diagnostic approach that unites the clinical (CP) and anatomic (AP) laboratories. Since our program began in 2003, we’ve trained fellows in the full range of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties that use in-house ancillary methodologies including immunohistochemistry, electron microscopy, flow cytometry, molecular diagnostics and cytogenetics, in addition to standard AP and CP laboratory practices. Fellows participate in pediatric and perinatal autopsies and have the opportunity to oversee rotating pathology residents. The aim is for graduates to be able to function as independent practitioners in pediatric patient care. Our staff is made up of four MDs and six PhDs; we enjoy a highly collegial relationship with each other and our clinical colleagues.
