Physician Relations
The Physician Relations Department cultivates relationships. We work to retain community physicians as loyal referrers to and advocates for Children's Hospital, and strive to enhance the satisfaction and engagement of hospital-based physicians.
We create opportunities for mutually beneficial interactions between community physicians and the Children's faculty, staff and operations.
Physician Relations provides community and hospital-based physicians with expert resources, systems and tools. We are a resource to medical staff when they are not sure who to contact, how to find information or how to answer a question.
Services Offered
Our staff helps establish Children's Hospital as the pre-eminent resource for patient referrals, clinical care, professional education and research. We do this by improving communication and access to Children's services by:
- Welcoming and orienting new medical staff to Children's
- Promoting faculty, staff and clinical programs and services
- Coordinating content for Medical Staff website and the Bulletin, the monthly newsletter for medical staff
- Facilitating communication to the medical staff about key hospital initiatives and activities
- Coordinating educational efforts
- Providing superior customer service
