Treuman Katz Center for Pediatric Bioethics
Fifth Annual Pediatric Bioethics Conference
Bell Harbor International Conference Center, Seattle, WA
Adolescence represents a time of transition from childhood to adulthood, from dependence to independence and from concrete to abstract thinking. This period of transition raises important issues for health-care providers who care for adolescents, such as: Do adolescents possess sufficient capacity to make decisions regarding their own health care? What are the limits of confidentiality when dealing with adolescent patients? Leaders in the field of pediatric bioethics will discuss these and other issues through presentations, panel discussions, abstract presentations and breakout sessions. For more information about registration, please visit http://bioethics.seattlechildrens.org, or contact Audrey Lum at 206-884-1058.
Tuesday and Wednesday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (both days)
Location: Seattle Children’s 70th and Sand Point Building, Conference Rooms 107/109,
6901 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA 98145
Recognizing the need for a course in pediatric emergency nursing, the Emergency Nurses Association developed the Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC). ENPC is the first course of its kind offered on an international level, and is the only pediatric emergency nursing course written by pediatric nurse experts. It is also the only course endorsed by a major nursing specialty organization with the purpose of providing a consistent and standardized knowledge base and approach among nurses caring for the pediatric patient.
For more information about the course, visit www.ena.org/catn_enpc_tncc/enpc/.
