Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Location: Courses are held at the Children's facility at 70th and Sand Point Way, but may be conducted at an alternate site for an additional fee.

The Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is an education program of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association that teaches concepts and skills of neonatal resuscitation. Our learners study the Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 5th Edition and pass the online evaluation (written test) prior to attending any NRP course. This allows much of the scheduled course time to be used for hands-on practice and simulation.

The Neonatal Outreach Program offers NRP in the following formats:

  • NRP Provider Course
  • NRP Renewal Course
  • NRP Expert Renewal Course
  • Simulation-Directed Renewal Course

Before registering, please read the NRP handout (PDF 28KB) to review important course descriptions and schedules.

View the NRP course flyer (PDF 4MB).

For more information about NRP courses contact Jeanette Zaichkin, Neonatal Outreach Coordinator at 206-987-5170 or jeanette.zaichkin@seattlechildrens.org.
