What is the SCCA Inpatient Care Unit?
Our 33-bed unit at Seattle Children's provides services for pediatric cancer and blood disorders patients including those requiring hematopoietic cell transplants.
Our staff specializes in diagnosis and treatment planning for more than 230 new cancer patients each year.
We provide the full range of cancer treatment, including administration of intensive chemotherapy regimens, cancer related surgeries, radiation therapy and bone marrow transplant. These treatments are provided in collaboration with specialists from many disciplines throughout the hospital.
In addition to our nurses and doctors, our team includes Child Life specialists, social workers, pain management services, yoga therapy and school teachers to help your child and you cope with treatments.
Our focus includes:

- Transplant expertise in preventing and treating graft versus host disease
- Caring for pediatric patients including adolescents
