Babies whose primary diagnosis is prematurity and just need extra time in the hospital to grow and develop are cared for by Children's neonatologists in the NICUs at the University of Washington, Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett and Overlake Hospital and Medical Center in Bellevue.

Newborns and premature babies with complex medical and surgical conditions need to be treated in the NICU at Seattle Children's Hospital. Among the many rare and complex conditions treated at Seattle Children's NICU are:
