The Family Resource Center (FRC) provides information and support for families. Our large collection of print and Web-based resources includes books for check-out and free pamphlets and reference materials. The FRC has materials on specific illnesses and conditions, parenting, growth and development, grief and loss, and safety. FRC staff provide expert assistance to families looking for reliable information about their child's health.
Family Resource Center staff can answer questions about hospital services, housing and transportation. They can give you information about support groups and parenting classes. They can also direct you to neighborhood services and Seattle-area sights. The FRC Resource Cart goes to the inpatient units daily to provide resources and services to families who can't leave the bedside.
The FRC is also a place for families to have a quiet moment away from the bedside. Our services and facilities include:
- Parent massage.
- Vending area with free coffee and hot beverages.
- Computer stations and wireless Internet access.
- Free patient Web pages to help families stay connected with loved ones during their child's hospital stay. Provided through CaringBridge.
