CureSearch
CureSearch was formed by the Children’s Oncology Group and the National Childhood Cancer Foundation. Through its various arms, the organization participates in research, care, advocacy and fundraising related to childhood cancers. The CureSearch website also contains information on specific types of childhood cancer and treatment.

National Cancer Institute (NCI)
This comprehensive website provides statistics and information on various types of cancer, clinical trials and research.

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center
This website contains information about cancer, its treatment and prevention.

The society’s website provides local ACS information, programs and events, as well as specific topic searches.

Ronald McDonald House Charities
The goal of Ronald McDonald House is to provide a “home away from home” for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. Contact the local house to find out about staying there. The Seattle house is about a quarter mile from Children’s Hospital.

Cancer Care, Inc.
This nonprofit group offers support and education, online and by phone.

Candlelighter’s Childhood Cancer Foundation (CCCF)
A national nonprofit organization founded by parents of children with cancer. Free services include a quarterly newsletter, handbooks to help families of children with cancer, local support groups and national advocacy.

Gilda’s Club Seattle
Provides a warm meeting place where adults and children living with cancer, along with their families and friends, join with others to build social and emotional support as a supplement to medical care.

Healthfinder
This user-friendly website provides safe links to other resources on the Internet to learn how to cope with cancer.

Locks of Love
This nonprofit organization provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children 18 and younger suffering from long-term medical hair loss.

Make-a-Wish Foundation
The foundation works to grant the wishes of children who have a life-threatening health problem. It works worldwide and has many local chapters.

National Children’s Cancer Society
This group is concerned with improving quality of life for children with cancer. It promotes health through financial and in-kind assistance, advocacy, support services and education.

St. Baldrick’s Foundation
St. Baldrick’s is the world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research.

Side-by-Side
An outreach ministry of Seattle’s University Presbyterian Church designed to support families who have a child with a critical illness. Services include a family support program and Camp Side-by-Side.

Bone Tumor and Sarcoma

The Cure Our Children Foundation
This foundation offers a support group for Ewing sarcoma and other pediatric cancers. Along with educational content, the website has a resource page with many links to relevant information.

Musculoskeletal Tumor Society
This nonprofit organization works on behalf of patients and orthopedic oncologists, promoting education, research and advocacy. Its mission is to advance the science of orthopedic oncology and promote high standards of patient care.

Sarcoma Alliance
The Sarcoma Alliance strives to extend and improve the lives of sarcoma patients through accurate diagnosis, improved access to care, education and support.

Brain Tumors

Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium
A multidisciplinary cooperative research organization devoted to the study of correlative tumor biology and new therapies for primary CNS tumors of childhood.

American Brain Tumor Association
The association is devoted to eliminating brain tumors by funding research and providing information and support to people with brain tumors and their families.

Brain Tumor Foundation for Children, Inc. (BTFC)
BTFC provides emotional support and information to families affected by childhood brain tumors, promotes public awareness about the condition and raises money for research.

Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation (CBTF)
CBTF works to improve treatment, quality of life and prognosis for children with brain tumors. The organization also provides educational information and support, and funds research.

National Brain Tumor Foundation
The foundation is dedicated to providing information and support to people affected by brain tumors and their families and healthcare providers. The foundation also supports research into treatment for brain tumors.

North American Brain Tumor Coalition
A network of nonprofit organizations that funds research and works to influence public policy in support of eradicating brain tumors.

Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation of the United States
The foundation supports research to find a cure for childhood brain tumors, and provides education, promotes awareness and fosters emotional support for families affected by the disease.

This site provides education, financial assistance for patients and cancer research.

Leukemia Research Foundation (LRF)
LRF funds research to find cures for leukemia, lymphoma and related blood cancers, and offers programs for patients that provide educational resources, emotional support and financial assistance.

National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP)
The most comprehensive bone marrow and cord blood transplant resource.

Therapeutic Advances in Childhood Leukemia
The Therapeutic Advances in Childhood Leukemia (TACL) consortium was established to provide a means for carrying out early studies of new drugs in children with recurrent leukemia.

The Lymphoma Foundation
The foundation’s goal is to promote basic research and clinical studies into the causes and treatment of Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma as well as related disorders that affect people who have lymphoma.

Lymphoma Research Foundation
This organization is devoted to funding lymphoma research and providing patients and health care professionals with information on the disease.

Neuroblastoma

Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation
This nonprofit organization’s mission is to address the needs of children with neuroblastoma and their families through education, support, advocacy and research.

The Neuroblastoma Children’s Cancer Society
The society advocates for children who suffer from neuroblastoma and is dedicated to serving as a support center for their families. It is composed of volunteers whose main focus is raising awareness and money for research.

The Neuroblastoma Society
This charity works to raise funds for British research, and its website provides a downloadable booklet for parents, a newsletter and other helpful information.

NANT (Novel Advances in Neuroblastoma Therapy) Consortium
Participating NANT institutions work together on clinical trials to develop new therapies to treat neuroblastoma. The NANT website provides information about the disease, clinical trials in general and current NANT clinical trials.

The patient section of the society’s website has information about blood diseases and links to other resources, online and offline.

Anemia Institute
The institute, based in Canada, provides information for patients and families about many forms of anemia.

Aplastic Anemia and MDS International Foundation
This group connects aplastic anemia and MDS patients and their families with others, provides emotional support and helps fund research. The foundation’s website provides medical information about aplastic anemia and its treatment.

Children's Cancer and Blood Foundation 

Cooley’s Anemia Foundation
The foundation works to improve quality of life for patients and families, and to improve treatment and find a cure. The website offers information about Cooley’s anemia and other forms of thalassemia.

Histiocytosis Association of America
The association helps support patients and families, and promotes research on histiocytosis to improve treatment and find a cure.

Iron Disorders Institute
This nonprofit group has information about health problems that relate to iron levels in the body.

ITP Foundation 

National Alliance for Thrombosis and Thrombophilia
The alliance works to educate people about thrombosis, reduce health problems related to clots, improve treatment and promote research.

National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute
This branch of the National Institutes of Health leads programs for diseases of the heart, lungs and blood. A major part of the group’s efforts is research. You can also find information about related diseases on the institute's website.

National Hemophilia Foundation (NHF)
NHF has information about hemophilia, Von Willebrand disease and other bleeding and clotting problems. Staff at the group’s Information Resource Center can answer questions and direct you to other helpful resources.

Northwest Sickle Cell Collaborative
This group provides services to families who are touched by sickle cell disease or trait. It also works with doctors, clinics, hospitals, emergency rooms and anyone in the community who is concerned about or interested in sickle cell.

Severe Chronic Neutropenia International Registry
This site is for people who have severe neutropenia. A board of doctors directs the registry. It is designed to collect information about the disease and its treatment worldwide. The site includes a section for patients.

Sickle Cell Disease Association of America
This group works for a cure for sickle cell disease, educates patients and professionals about the disease and helps improve quality of life for those who are affected. The website has disease information and links to resources.

Teens Living with Cancer
This website offers information for teens about diagnosis, treatment and living with cancer.

Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults
This website includes information about free support programs, education and resources for young adults, their families and friends who are affected by cancer.

I'm Too Young for This!
I’m Too Young for This! is an advocacy group that raises awareness about people under age 40 living with cancer. It also offers resources for teens and young adults.

Seventy K: Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Advocacy
This advocacy group focuses on the needs of teens and young adults battling cancer.

My Onco Fertility

Planet Cancer
