While the risk of contracting West Nile Virus in Washington state is low, mosquito bites still pose a potential hazard. Dr. Ben Danielson talks about the risks and the steps you can take to protect your children.

  • Avoid the outdoors around dusk and dawn.
  • Use netting over baby strollers.
  • Use mosquito repellent, paying close attention to what’s in the repellent — some ingredients are not recommended to be used on small children.
