Asthma and the Active Child focuses on infancy through adolescence.
Asthma and the Active Child is open to parents (more than one can attend) and to all caregivers of children with asthma. During registration, please indicate how many people from your family will be attending.
This class covers medicines, medical advancements in asthma treatment, progression of asthma in children, allergies, environmental modifications, asthma management plans and assessing and preventing your child’s asthma attacks.
This class is taught by nurse practitioners and a pharmacist from Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center and the Pediatric Pulmonary Center at the University of Washington.
Because this class is focused on information for parents and caregivers, we strongly encourage that children do not attend. The content and the classroom situation are not designed for children.
There is only one class fee per family or caregiver. However, during registration please indicate how many people from your family will be attending.
The $15 fee is collected in the form of cash or check at the end of the class. The fee includes the cost of the "Living with Asthma" booklet that you will take home with you.
