The Best Gastroenterology Care

Children's operates the only pediatric liver transplant program in the Pacific Northwest.

The Gastroenterology and Transplant teams work closely to provide a full range of care. Skilled teams of physicians, nurses, social workers, nutritionists and others focus on the medical as well as support needs of our patients and families.

Top Physicians

Children's recently welcomed Dr. Simon Horslen, a pediatric hepatologist in the Division of Gastroenterology. Dr. Horslen, who came from the University of Nebraska where he was the medical director of the pediatric transplant program, will help lead the expansion of Children's transplant program.

He joins Karen Murray, GI specialist, and pioneering transplant surgeon Dr. Jorge Reyes, who is listed among the Best Doctors in America. Dr. Reyes has performed more than 1,000 pediatric liver transplants.
