    Seattle Children’s Research Institute’s Annual Fundraising Breakfast: The Future Starts Here

    Celebrate recent breakthroughs at Seattle Children’s Research Institute and imagine a future without childhood illness and disease. KING 5’s Jean Enersen will emcee the morning’s program, which will include hearing from Dr. Jim Hendricks, president of the research institute, and Dr. Mike Jensen, director of the Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research. Attendees include leaders in the business community, elected officials, community volunteers, scientists, members of Seattle Children’s Research Institute Advisory Board and Seattle Children’s Research Champions donors, and surprise guests.

    Hosted by the Des Moines Auxiliary, the bazaar features a variety of craft vendors, lunch and music by the church choir. Guests can win door prizes and get their photos taken with Santa. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 21 and 22. Free admission.
