    Childhood Cancer Awareness Night at Safeco Field

    Science Block Party at Seattle Children’s Research Institute

    This family-oriented community event will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the research institute, raise awareness of the research institute and show some of the breakthroughs being made there. It will be a street fair with many activities for the community, especially those with kids. Some of the activities planned include interactive stations where kids and adults can learn about science and research; a bike helmet giveaway, booster seat education and tips for healthy eating; a research institute welcome center open house; and food trucks.

    Tune in to this fundraising special supporting Strong Against Cancer. This Seattle Children’s initiative supports research to cure childhood cancers through immunotherapy, a game-changing treatment that enables a child’s own immune system to hunt down and destroy cancer cells. Viewers are encouraged to call in a donation.
