    Seattle Children’s Mental Wellness Fair

    Seattle Children’s Mental Wellness Fair is open to all Seattle Children’s staff, families and community members. This free event brings our community together to tackle the stigma of mental health and learn about the importance of mental wellness. Come enjoy live music, poetry readings, yoga, wellness booths, light refreshments and activities for all ages.

    Meet experts and get information on a variety of topics from organizations including Asian Counseling and Referral Services, Consejo Counseling and Referral Service, Guided Pathways, National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Prevention WINS (youth substance abuse prevention), Sail Sandpoint, Seattle Mama Doc and a variety of Seattle Children’s clinics and programs including Child Life, Employee Wellness, Gender Clinic, Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine and Spiritual Care.

    Seattle University Dance Marathon Guild’s 3rd Annual Color Me a Miracle 5K

    Come join us for our 3rd Annual Color Me a Miracle 5K this year, in conjunction with Seattle University’s Grand Reunion Weekend! Start off your morning with breakfast and coffee before running or walking for the kids at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Our Miracle Kids will be cheering you on from start to finish with orange and blue paint! Get the chance to meet and spend time with our Miracle Families as they cheer you on and paint your T-shirt along the way. This year we will be partnering with the Seattle University Alumni Association in conjunction with Grand Reunion Weekend for a day of fun. Proceeds will be donated to Seattle Children’s Hospital and light refreshments will be provided. All ages and ability levels are welcome.

    Bubble Bash Auction & Dinner

    There is nothing better than putting a smile on a child’s face, and we hope to do that with just a few bubbles! Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity of the University of Washington will be hosting a Bubble Bash Auction in order to raise money for the Stanley Stamm Summer Camp. We are actively looking for donations to this event in the form of auction items, sponsorships, and cash donations.

    Dream Builders Guild Casino Night & Silent Auction

    Appetizers, cocktails, wine and beer will be available. Auction Items include: Fairmont Hotel Suite Stay, Build A Bear Workshop Bears, Signed Baseball by Edgar Martinez, Suite for 18 at a Seattle Sounders Game. 321 Photo will be donating their photo booth services at our event. Build-A-Bear Workshop has donated 100 animals for our guests to donate money to sign a card and attach to the individual animal they choose, which will be donated to a child at the hospital. WubbaNub has also given pacifiers to our event to donate to the hospital. Proceeds will go to benefit Seattle Children’s Uncompensated Care Fund and Cancer Research.

    “Feelings, Emotions and Identity” Youth Empowerment Support Training by Guided Pathways

    This is part of a free, four-week training series presented by Guided Pathways, which will give youth ages 8 to 15 the skills and tools to make healthy relationship choices, feel empowered, set goals and learn more about feelings and emotions. Each 90-minute session begins at 6 p.m. in Ocean Café; the workshops are for youth only, but parents should plan to stay onsite during the event. Youth are encouraged, but not required, to attend all four sessions. (Sessions are May 10, May 17, May 24 and May 31.)

    Safe Firearm Storage – Lock Box and Trigger Lock Giveaway in Mount Vernon

    Come learn about the importance of safe gun storage and get a free lock box or trigger lock, with hands-on training on proper use. Supplies are limited. First come, first served.     Free Bike Helmet Fitting and Giveaway

    The Kohl’s Helmet Safety Program at Seattle Children’s Hospital is hosting a free bike helmet fitting and giveaway on May 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Richland. Must be 1 to 18 years old to receive a helmet. Wearer must be present and fitted. Supplies are limited.
