Children's Golf Classic Raises $7M for Seattle Children's Hospital

The Friends of Costco Guild, led by Jan Sinegal and Lynn Winters, raised $7M for Seattle Children’s Hospital at the 13th annual Children’s Golf Classic August 4-6.  This three-day event consistently raises the most money of any event benefitting Children’s.

"I am so excited!  The journey of this event is one of a kind.  The support and friendships that have been created are amazing. The generosity of our sponsors, guests and volunteers is an incredible gift to the children and families of our region,” said Jan Sinegal, Children’s Golf Classic Chair. 

The three-day event began with a special VIP Reception for top level sponsors at Chihuly Garden and Glass at Seattle Center.  The next evening, 1,100 guests enjoyed dinner on the infield at Safeco Field. The evening concluded with a performance from the Blues Brothers, featuring Jim Belushi and Dan Aykroyd.
 
Monday morning, more than 1,100 players tee’d up at eight premier Northwest golf courses: The Golf Club at Newcastle’s Coal Creek and China Creek courses,
The Plateau Club, Inglewood Golf Club, Broadmoor Golf Club, Meridian Valley Country Club,  TPC at Snoqualmie Ridge and Washington National Golf Club.  The E&J Gallo Winery putting contest winner received a weekend trip to Napa Valley. The Golf Classic concluded with an awards presentation and dinner at The Golf Club at Newcastle.

The Friends of Costco Guild recognized the Classic Circle of Care Sponsors at the $100,000 level, Costco Wholesale, agron/adidas, Allied Marketing, American Express, Cargill Inc., Earth Friendly Products, General Mills, JBS USA, Niagara Bottling, Nice-Pak, Sun Products Corporation, and the Sinegal Family Foundation; and the title sponsors at the $50,000 level, Coca-Cola, Comprehensive Payment Recovery Service, ConAgra Foods, Earthbound Farm, First Choice Bank, LNK International. Mars Inc., Mazzetta Company, LCC, National Beef Packing Company, Nestle Dreyer’s Ice Cream, PepsiCo, Pharmavite, LCC, Tarantino Wholesale Foods, Trident Seafoods, Tyson, Unilever and Vizio.
