FDA expected to rule soon on e-cigarettes

A 2013 CDC report found that one in 10 high school students now reports having used an e-cigarette but data is out on their safety. One thing is clear: nicotine is addictive. E-cigarettes are not FDA approved and are not regulated. But that may be about to change. The Food and Drug Administration is expected to issue its first rules on e-cigarettes by the end of the month. Dr. Wendy Sue Swanson of Seattle Children’s is the author of this post.
