John and Chiron Naab joined Lewin to talk about the life-saving heart transplant their daughter, Brooke, underwent at the hospital. The program also included a special anniversary tribute to the guild and its dedicated members. To end the night, Hall & Oates performed an exclusive concert. Congratulations to the SOVREN Guild, which hosted the 25th annual Pacific Northwest Historics Vintage Races July 5 to 7 and raised more than $600,000 for uncompensated care and the Science Adventure Lab at Seattle Children’s. Hundreds of rare and restored cars competed in the event, which drew 10,000 fans to Pacific Raceways in Kent to watch the races and celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911. About 80 people participated in Friday night’s kart races, asking friends and family to pledge their support as they raced around the track in teams of four drivers per go-kart. Celebrity driver Brian Redman attended the races and signed autographs for fans. Redman also attended the Children’s Checkered Flag Club Champions dinner, hosted by John and Shawn Goodman at Goodman Racing, and thanked guests for their $10,000 contribution to Children’s.
